FIND | Reversible Tote Bag

Sometimes I find something so good that I have to share it.

I've been on the hunt for a new purse for a while now with no luck.  I love a nice, expensive (relatively anyway) purse, but I haven't found one that I've loved enough to pull the trigger on.  Here's the thing, my purse is really a catch all for lots of things and I often compare it to Mary Poppins bag as I clean it out each week and find myself pulling out the most random collection of toys and trinkets.  My purse also regularly falls victim to dirty tissues, goldfish crumbs, sticky lollipop sticks, and applesauce pouch explosions.  So while I love an expensive bag, it's just not really practical for day to day right now.

I think I fell in love when I came across this on the Nordstrom website last week.  It showed up on Friday and I'm in love.  The vegan leather looks great.  It's huge, which I love.  Mint and cognac.  Includes a zippered pouch (you know I love those!), and only $50!  Plus FREE shipping from Nordstrom!  Are you ordering one yet????

SHOP | That's the key

More often than not, anything new that I bring to the shop is created out my own personal desire to have that item!  I am so tired of losing my keys, leaving them in the car (because I set them down to carry other things), poking Gabe with them when I carry him, and fumbling around trying to hang on my keys and everything else I'm carrying.  I know all the moms out there understand and probably anyone that well, has keys!

Enter the key fob wristlet.  I first started shopping for these about a year ago, but never found one that I really loved.  I knew that I loved the fabrics from our current clutch collection, so I decided to order the hardware and get started.

I've been using mine this week and I love it!  It's comfy.  It doesn't get lost in my giant purse (but it's not too heavy).  It's cute.  And most importantly it makes my life easier!

They measure 1 1/4 inches wide and a total of about 10 inches long.  The hardware is all stainless steel and the ends of the cotton webbing are sealed so it won't fray.

They're in the shop now and the best part is that if you're ordering anything else from the shop, these will ship for FREE!

These are definitely going to be a limited run.  There are currently 1-4 of each style in the shop and I likely won't be making these again with these exact fabric and color combos, so if you love one, don't wait!

Tell me, which one is your favorite???

Oh, and in case you're curious, I kept this one  ^^^ for myself.

EAT | Zoodles and Shrimp

With a new year upon us, I know many people (myself included) are trying to eat healthier and cleaner and undo some of the damage done over the holidays.  I thought I would share one of my favorite healthy recipes.  This one is easy, yummy, and only takes about 30 minutes!

I know you're probably asking yourself, "What the heck is a zoodle???"  It's a zucchini noodle and you do need a spiralizer to make them.  I was gifted one by one of my besties for my birthday and I love it!  I know that it does a lot, but honestly I've only used it for zoodles.  Since I make this at least twice a month, it's totally worth having!

Here's the recipe:

  • 10 ounces grape tomatoes (I like to get the multicolored ones and slice them in half)
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 pounds zucchini, spiralized (I usually use 3-4, depending on their size)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, tails off

    1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.  Toss together the grape tomatoes, 2 tablespoons oil, 1 teaspoon oregano and a pinch of salt on a rimmed baking sheet. Roast for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the skins begin to wrinkle and move away from the flesh. Remove from the oven and let the tomatoes cool slightly.
    2. While the tomatoes roast, cook the shrimp.  Heat a pan over medium heat.  Add 1 tablespoon oil, shrimp, 1 teaspoon oregano, and salt and pepper to taste.  Cook for 5-10 minutes or until pink.  Throw an extra garlic clove in there if you want!
    3. Place the zucchini noodles in a large serving bowl.
    4. Whisk together the lemon juice, olive oil, lemon zest, and garlic; pour it over the zucchini noodles and toss to coat. Add the roasted tomatoes and shrimp and serve.

I think this recipe tastes just as good cold the next day, too!

    Enjoy!
