STYLE | Rocksbox Review

Recently I've been trying to really curate my wardrobe.  I don't think I'm ready for a capsule wardrobe like Elise or Caroline (although they really intrigue me), but I am trying to only have pieces in my closet that I love and wear.  I've found that this means that I'm being drawn to items that are a little more simple so that they're easier to mix and match.  It's no secret though that I love color and interest in my wardrobe and I've found that a few really fabulous pieces of jewelry can provide a great way to add that.

Enter Rocksbox.

It's like a rental service for gorgeous, designer jewelry.  You pay a low monthly fee, and they send you amazing pieces to try out.  When you sign up, you take a style survey and add pieces to your wish list so your stylist knows what you like.  Style them, wear them, and then send them back when you're done.  Or if you really love a piece, you have the option to purchase it at an insiders' (discount!) price, plus you get a $10 credit to spend each month.  I tend to love jewelry pieces A LOT in the beginning, and then I'm ready to move on to a new favorite, so this is kind of perfect for me.

My first box shipped much faster than I expected it to and it was like opening a little present when it arrived.  Rocksbox NAILED presentation.

My stylist selected 3 pieces for me based off my wishlist and I couldn't have been happier.  I tend to be drawn to color so this neutral statement necklace is a perfect contrast to what I already own.  I love that it adds a little bling without being overwhelming.

I've always loved vintage inspired pieces so these earrings were definitely a winner.  They're a great size for everyday and I've been wearing them constantly.

My last piece is this teardrop bangle.  While I love the style and color, I just haven't found myself reaching for it.  This is something I could definitely see myself buying in the store, so having the option to try it first and find that it doesn't really work for me is great.  It's a little big for me, but something I probably wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't had the chance to wear it around the house a little and see that it felt uncomfortable.

Overall I think that Rocksbox is really unique and fun experience.  I also love that they have a great referral program (read: FREE jewelry).  For every friend that signs up, you get $25 to spend!  You can also swap out the jewelry an unlimited number of times.  So keep it for a week or keep it for a month, the choice is yours!  Also, if you know me at all, you know I have a small obsession with Kendra Scott jewelry and Rocksbox has a pretty good collection of KS that they can send you to try!  And if you love it as much as I do, you'll love that you can get a discount to buy it!

I'm really considering keeping the necklace and earrings.  What do you think?
